Freedom
It doesn't come from an outward war with another
But after and inward battle between true self and human ego
True freedom is an emotional expression of acceptance
And to be truly free you have to be willing to go deep
Deep within, you have to see, not just look
at all aspects of self
the duality of humanness
a sifting and shaking a must
Uncovering the parts you wish to keep and the ones that don't serve you
or the greater good
So take a deep dive
soak in your soul spring
Let love shower, nourish, drench
Dip not only a toe, but let a whole body baptism occur
bringing you closer to the creator
and your souls everlasting light
Live deep, live open, live aligned with good
but most of all live free

Will we choose to be connected by fear or connected by love?
It's a choice you see
A heartfelt one between you and me.
Will we look to the east to welcome the light?
Will we look for the good and keep hope in sight?
Or will we let our human ego tell us how to live,
Telling us we aren't one, too different, keeping us separate?
Will we honor the day but keep faith for tomorrow?
Will we accept what is happening,
but recognize another's pain is also our sorrow?
Will we lean into the new or hold tight to the old?
Will we be open to how the story unfolds?
Will we fight for what is right, fight for love?
Or will we let fear win, and simply give up?
...And as the end of day draws near
Facing west and facing fear

How will we wake up?
